I’m an intensive care nurse. And I count myself fortunate to be able to help my patients through what for many is the worst day of their lives…the day they face life or death. It has taught me to be calm in a storm. And it reminds me to live my life to the fullest each and every day.
I’m also a mom. And while my kids are teens with busy lives of their own, I still value this “job” more than any other. I value it because I see in them what matters most…love, loyalty and devotion…to work, to family and to friends.
It may all sound sappy. But, I really do have…”A Sweet Heart”…at least that’s what people tell me. (And now you know the reason for my username. Smile…)
Lest you think I’m perfect (yes…that’s a joke), you should know I have a wicked sense of adventure. I love trying new things…exploring new places…meeting new people. I’ve visited 49 of the 50 states and while I haven't been to Europe, I'm dying to go.
I also love entertaining…going to concerts…watching college and pro basketball and football (preferably in the stands)…listening to country music (no, not the twangy kind)...hiking...biking...sipping a great margarita (on the rocks, please) and cooking smores over a bonfire at the beach.
