Meet a woman from California, United States. I work in software engineering management. I was living in Silicon valley, CA for about 10 years then moved back to Pennsylvania (I grew up there) for about four years and but moved BACK to Silicon Valley. I have lots of interests that I don't get to as much as I'd like - Skiing (snow AND water), flying, tennis, racquetball, shooting pool and SCUBA diving. I have even tried hang-gliding and I own a motorcycle. I am now taking helicopter lessons. :-D Of course, with my "tweenage" daughter around, many of these activities have to be well planned in advance -- which is a shame because I love spontaneity. But she's worth the sacrifice. In general, I am looking for someone who (at some point) wants to be a part of my life and who is willing to make me a serious part of his. When I become close to someone, he is a part of almost every decision and aspect of my life that he wants to be - that's the way I like it. I don't know where to find that kind of a relationship... Here's a good a place to try as any, I suppose. Meeting people via electronic means has always seemed somewhat awkward, but I have met a few REALLY good friends that way, so maybe I'll meet someone who can be more - however, more friends is cool. Although I've lived in this area before, it's gonna take some effort to meet new friends since work and my daughter keep me pretty occupied. I didn't discuss very much of my personality here because it's very difficult for me to describe myself. I tend to act very differently in different situations... I've very adaptable. Besides, that's the kind of stuff that's best learned through interaction - it's more FUN that way.I've recently realized that a sense of humor is the most important thing to me. Nothing makes me happier than a man who can make me laugh. If you like britcoms, you probably can at least understand my sense of humor (Red Dwarf & Black Adder are two favorites). I also like someone with whom I can have intelligent conversations and debate passionately, without getting angry, about subjects that we can then just drop until the next debate and act like we never disagreed at all.... And: If you're looking for helpless, it's probably not me. I tend to be very independent and do a lot of things when need be. Like most women, I certainty LIKE it if a man changes a flat tire, but if I'm alone, I'll do it. :) I also did a lot of work on it when I owned a house -- moved walls, remodeled my kitchen, etc. But, next time, if I have the $$$, I'll probably pay contractors to do this work... It's tiring! :). And I would prefer to find a guy who is clearly more interested in an emotional relationship than the physical. I know that many people consider that hard to find but I have found it before and would like to find it again.
