Date single man from California, United States. I love the beach, swimming in the ocean, beach bonfires, camping, hiking. I'm a Star Trek fan (specifically The Next Generation). I like the Muppets, Alf, Depeche Mode, The Cure, XTC. My favorite movie genre is probably philosophical comedy. I'm a light reader (of books). I like astronomy, the natural and physical sciences, and of course mathematics. I like to play music (mostly guitar). I'm pretty shy around girls that I'm attracted to. Sometimes it causes me to be more reserved, sometimes it brings out my inner extrovert.
I teach math online, so I get to work from home. I like to be handy with home repairs. I like to garden and surf but haven't been able to do either lately. Staying physically healthy is key. Keeping the "three pillars" in balance: proper diet, exercise, & sleep.
I'm looking for someone who is interested in starting out casually and taking things slowly. I like to share my time with someone who has similar interests and who is open minded and patient enough to appreciate the wacky, weird, and wonderful things about people.
Meet a soulmate from San Ramon, United States. I would consider myself a easy going guy that likes to live life to the fullest. I do work hard as I enjoy what I do but I also know how to have a balanced life. I believe relationships starts out with friendship first and then grow from there. You must be able to tell each other anything. Laughter and joking is very important to me!! I am at a point in my life where I am ready to settle down with my perfect match. I have a wonderful family and friends that means the world to me.
It would be great to meet someone to experience what the East Bay has to offer. I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, going to sporting events, love the coast and many other things. In the winter months would love to head up to Tahoe and spend a few days on the slopes. I also enjoy working out and believe in eating healthy.
At this point, I am looking for someone who is confident in who she is and lives a balanced life. She is ready to get to know somebody for who they are not on looks alone. By following our heart, it will lead us to where we want to be......

Date a man from United States. Hello, thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
What matters in my life, friends and family. I don’t know where I would be and how I would have survived without them. I am not one to make a lot of friends, I’m more of the make a core set of really good friends and that’s all you need in life. Yeah I’m on the introverted side but I’ve learned to enjoy talking with just about anybody. Most of my time I spend hanging out with friends and family.
My favorite thing, food stuff. I say food stuff because I like all things that have to do with food, except for growing it but I do have a vegetable garden this year. I love cooking and baking and I cannot imagine being with someone who does not share that passion or at least doesn’t mind if I cook for them. Thinking about how things would taste and actually tasting things most people would find silly. I actually bought 6 different kinds of Chinese soy sauce and I tasted all of them to see which one I liked the best. I also like going out and trying new foods and restaurants and love it when you can find a non-pretentious hole in the wall that serves great food. I like to explore but usually the exploration ends up revolving around some kind of food activity, like going to Brooklyn Bridge just to eat at Grimaldi’s and then just walking around afterwards. And of course with great food goes wine, hopefully great wine but I’m not too picky nowadays. With great company everything tastes good and is always fun.
Next favorite thing, music. I love music especially dance music, electronica, house and trance. Some pop artists like Adele and Coldplay are pretty awesome and I have found that almost everything sounds good live. And I love playing piano especially late at night. The pieces are limited to classical, Chopin rocks, and what I will utter as quietly as possible as new age-ish. I like George Winston who I hear is considered the father of new age.
Other than that I like to do the usual things, I like museums, movies, hiking, biking, swimming, shopping, volunteering and clubbing. In reality I’m kind of like 80% indoor stuff and 20% outdoor stuff.
Me, and this is where it gets tough, I’m try my best to be sweet and caring to all people. I try to be optimistic looking for good in everything and try my best to be happy. But I am from New York City and I think that is all I need to say about that except usually my goals prevail. I am naturally honest and devoted. I have been told I am intelligent and genuine. In general I try to live my life by the rule, do onto others as you would want them to do onto you. And above all, under the calm and analytical exterior is a silly person who loves to have fun and live life.
I am looking for someone who understands that a relationship is meant to bring happy times for both but it can also be work at times and there maybe be some really hard times as well. I know what it feels like and I am ready to give all I have, take the good, take the so-so and take the really bad hand in hand. I know how I can improve to make the good last longer and hopefully I am also wiser to avoid more of the really bad times too.
My dream is to find the love that we all deserve and when I am old and gray to be the couple that still holds hands everywhere and when I look into her eyes to see that I am the world to her and for me to find ways to show her that she is still the world to me.
Good luck to you in your search.
Meet someone special from California, United States. I am fun loving person with a natural sense humor. I live as active lifestyle as my time allows and enjoy getting out of bed early and enjoying the day. Even though my primary purpose is to enjoy life, I've found that to do so at I high level requires balance and a willingness to live life on life's terms. Which to me, is addressing the hardships with as much openess and honesty as I put into the good times. As far as my dating experiences are concerned. It's been a year and half since my last relationship, which was my ex-wife, so if you are looking for a guy whose been through the dating scene rigger, that's not me - don't interpret that as I don't know what I want. It's just that I expect to make some mistakes along the way. However, even though I haven't been back out there for long, I do know who I am and I know what I want. Which is to date, flirt, and then let the natural cycle of relationship take control. I don't see online dating as my means to interview and be interviewed for marriage. If that is what happens then it's what was meant to be, but I'm not on an accelerated timeline. I look at it as a means to expand the pool of possibilities.
I am originally from Denver, but have grown some very strong roots in Bay Area over the 11 years I've been here. I know their strong because I've forsaken all of my Denver sports allegiances that I grew up with for the home teams. Even deciding that I would definitely wearing Maroon and Gold in a Niners v. Broncos SuperBowl.
You'll notice that I never drink, but don't let that fool you. I'm not a wet blanket. I can hang and be just as social as anyone. I just don't find the affect of alcohol appealing anymore.
I am looking for someone genuine, spiritual, fun, open and willing to take me for the guy I am. Someone who can understand that a sometimes single dad comes with a little baggage (not drama), like a set schedule and an ongoing friendly relationship with an ex-wife but current co-parent.
If you like what you see and read, then let me know. It don't cost nothin.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. as the headline suggests, just like everyone else(and thanks to all those tv ads by Dr. Phil), I've ended up on this site too looking for the answers to those questions...did it get your attention though...;)...have been told that my sense of humor isn't too bad(a little goofy and whacky at times). Software Engineer by profession...
so what brings me here... aside from the fact that for some reason things didn't move forward in the real world so here I am on this site hoping to stumble upon someone to share moments of life with who would also make it special... I have no emotional baggage from the past, never married...for me qualities on the "inside" matter more than the outside... although physical attraction cannot be denied as a component that influences the "spark" too... so the outside can't be ignored either...and that goes both ways...in the sense that you would probably be assessing the same of me....
more low-down on myself, I consider myself a cool, laid-back, easy to get along with kind of a person... but on the flip side my professional life is quite fast-moving and there's literally something new happening to be tackled every day... after many years as a software engineer I still stumble upon new things at work and it doesn't ever end... needless to say it's keeps me on my toes and I thoroughly enjoy what I do...
I do try to inject a fair amount of discipline and energy in my daily routine...work out regularly(twice a week trying to push it up to three - just hired a trainer and she's charging a lot, can tell you that...!) play basketball and like yoga, have been out of touch with that for a while.... pretty much an outdoors kind of person - am into wilderness treks and canoeing/rafting. Yet to try other sky diving in near future and even explore the Canadian wilderness someday(which hopefully won't be in the 'too' distant future)... recently started to work on scuba certification.... must be pretty apparent that I have strong feelings about the environment and conservation(anyone know there are huge islands of garbage floating around in the oceans worldwide)... that doesn't mean I'm here to look for an activity partner to get into a raft and go down a gorge with or scale a mountain with.... I also like nice conversations, nice cup of coffee with someone special, watching movies, exploring picturesque locales...so that was my storyu, how about you tell me yours...? I like stories(even bed-time ones, jk...!)...to summarize, am looking for a stable, down to earth, non egoistic, non self-centered, nice woman who I'd be attracted to(and hopefully she'd be attracted to me) for a long term relationship leading to marriage and a family....

Raised a military brat and lived in DE, LA, and FL prior to coming to CA. I grew up on some of the finest delicacies that the US has to offer, i.e. SPAM, corned beef, Vienna sausage.
I oversee sales and service teams across 13 western states from Louisiana to Hawaii.
I enjoy partying with large groups of friends, but also enjoy spending quality time with smaller groups of friends. I make friends easily and am comfortable in large or small groups of people.
I enjoy fitness and 1/2 marathons. Ran the 100th Bay to Breakers – in the nude (just kidding). Always looking for running partners. Considering my first sprint triathlons in the near future. I just hate the thought of swimming. I can swim, however, I just don’t like concentrating on sports where I cannot breathe 100% of the time. In addition, I finished playing my 2nd round of golf in my life without a single lesson. I think I am a natural.
I am interested in meeting new and interesting people and trying new and exciting things.
Date a man from United States. Let's see...
I may've been the first high-schooler in American History to skip school in favor of going to the Public Library to read.
This habit had the dual benefit of ruining my grades and retarding my social life.
Turns out the library is the absolute last place Truant Officers look. So my illeagle reading ran free until I was a fully formed nerd.
Big Nerd. I had a fovorite anthropologist (Marvin Harris) at a time and place where having a fovorite anthropologist could get you beaten up once a day.
Took my bad habits with me to college, (CCA in Oakland) where I did my reading at Cybelle's and/or Zac's Pizza on College Avenue.
Fell in love with history and humanism (George Orwell, Stephen Jay Gould, et al).
Being in art school, I also studied art and art history. But I wound up working in a Technical/Engineering field
(don't ask me how I'm qualified for it).
I cannot explain myself.
I admire Reason and Humanism and Monty Python and I Hate the Designated Hitter.
I'm a lifelong atheist AND I was involved with a church for several years and made some great friends there.
So I'm either complicated or crazy, depending on which way you read me.
Meet a soulmate from United States. I am an outgoing person who loves to laugh and likes to take life in a positive manner. I like sports, movies, music, dancing, good food and spirits. I am looking for someone that I can share a few laughs, conversations, good food & wine and a good positive attitude towards life.
