Meet a man from California, United States. I was born in upstate NY but have lived in California since 1968. I lived in the Central Coast area (Santa Maria-San Luis Obispo) until 1994 when I moved to the Bay Area.
I enjoy exercising on a daily basis....whether it includes the gym, golf, bike riding, running, hiking, or tennis. My favorite sport is football and I play in one fantasy football league. Also, I play organized softball at least one night a week.
I am looking for someone to have fun with whether that may include a walk around Lafayette Resevoir and a picnic lunch, a rodeo, golf, dinner, a museum, a bike ride, playing at the beach, an art exhibit, the theatre, or taking off for a weekend. If the fun turns into something more thats a bonus........if not, then meeting new friends and engaging in new experiences is a bonus of a different kind.
You need to have a good sense of humor (and be able to laugh at yourself)....... and being quick witted would also be a good survival skill to possess or you may be going down for the count in one of the early rounds.
A sincere girl next door type is always refreshing, "High Maintenance" need not apply. Being able to get a little dirty and sweaty at times will also shine on the old resume, as long as you are just as comfortable in a more formal setting when the time is right.
An above-average intelligence is always welcome, but not necessary......... a semi-high intelligence is a great characteristic and can be a very sexy quality too...........Talk Nerdy to Me : )
If you golf, or you are willing to learn, that gets you double bonus points. I am not an avid golfer, but I really enjoy it when I play two to three times a month and its a fun and relaxing environment to share with a friend or significant other. And, you can't take the game too seriously, because I don't.........there are no bad days on the golf course, as scores don't really matter.
Match is a little like shopping for a car, as it can be a major purchase in your life. There certainly are those luxury models out there which are constant maintenance and always want, or think that they need, a new shiney part (as mentioned earlier, I'm not shopping in that part of the car lot, because Big Daddy ain't flippin' the bill while you sit on your chair duster). Then there are the family sedans (nice dependable cars) that have a little bit of everything (always a good purchase). And of course, there are your sportier models too which can be fast, fun and sometimes a little dangerous but a work in progress can always be fine tuned and tamed (especially the topless models) to the driver's liking.
All in all, most models will make a good fit in any garage, if driven and cared for correctly. Just make sure there is some good tread left on your tires, your engine isn't revving 24/7 and you run on a high octane gas (no junk food junkies). AND PLEASE, NO TIRE KICKERS!! .......if interested, you may schedule a test drive at our front receptionist's desk.
I like all types of music but prefer country and rock & roll.
I love all animals, but dogs are definitely on the top of my list followed by horses and ring-tailed lemurs (do you own a ring tailed lemur?.........of course not, everyone knows that you only lease a ring tailed lemur?)
If you don't mention the lemurs I'll know you didn't read the entire profile, even though its fairly short, and that will cost you one "Fun" demerit (by the way, "fun" demerits are not easy to rebound from either......you'll have to really earn it!!)

I enjoy movies and theater. Love the water and almost any activity on it. A week in the tropics is great. Two weeks is heaven. If I ever try three weeks, I probably won't come back. Have traveled much of the world and anxious to see the rest. Passport required. Prague and Bavaria this fall, the Caribbean next spring, and Thailand (visiting friends) later in 2013.
My pictures are all from the last 2-3 years. And yes, my hair is getting pretty grey. My profile picture and the one on the sail boat are from an awesome week-long sailing trip on a 40 foot catamaran in the Bahamas last year with some of the best people ever. I loved it, and I'm anxiously working with my friends to get another sailing trip going, but we're having trouble with our schedules (but I won't give up!). Most of the other beach shots are from St. Martin in 2009. Did I mention that I really like the tropics?

Meet someone special from United States. Tall dark and handsome, well two out of the threes not bad. I think I am fun and funny, but not obnoxious. I am a romantic, and enjoy bringing that into a relationship. I'm not a professional dater, so I may be a bit clumsy at times, I hope to get better. AS far as thing I do to fill my open time, I like to kayak in some of the local lakes or I love the Sierras especially Silver Lake!!!! Of coarse I like long walks on the beach, and I like snorkeling, surfing " nothing crazy" all in warm water. I love warm weather and the sun and anything outdoors. I like working in the yard until it becomes work, I go on hikes in the area and love to explore Point Reyes area and anything in the high Sierras. In the winter on a cold and crappy weather weekend and its snowing real good in the mountains I like to take the train to Truckee and spend the night in a local place with a lot of blankets. Winter is also a good time for a hot tub and the fireplace, and maybe a good movie.
In my business I have allot of younger people working with me and for me, there youth and energy is a part of me. I found out I need a partner who is also young at heart , and can keep the pace that a fun and full life requires. Don't get me wrong I can bring it down several notches, I enjoy art and art galleries, museums and craft fairs. Creativity and the art and design world is a big part of my life, personal and in my business.
I have two grown children, other people refer to them as adults, I still find it hard to believe. A boy and a girl, 28 and 26 and they DO NOT live at my home they have there own. I have lived in the bay area since1963 we migrated via covered wagon from L.A. area "thank god", I think that was the form of travel in those days. I grew up in Concord, had a family, built a home in Alamo in the 80s got a divorce at the turn of the century and now I landed in Martinez, I like it here, real quiet small town feel.
OK lets get back to romance, as I said I am a romantic, I think it keeps a relationship fresh and new. I love to give and receive affection. I consider myself a very giving and loving person in all aspects of a relationship. Im a hand holder not a public grouper, I will open your door, pull out your chair and pay the bill.
