I spent an unforgettable year traveling, to Hawaii, Aspen Colorado and Palm Springs learning the tools to create a fulfilling life and to master my own destiny. Climbing and standing on top of a 50 ft telephone pool while looking out at the deep blue sea of the Pacific ocean and doing a fire walk were just a couple of the experiences I’ll never forget.

Now, something about me. I live in Penn Valley, a small foothill community not too far from Nevada City. Tahoe is my favorite playground. The Beacon, River Ranch and Fallen Leaf Lake . Riding along The Truckee river. I love to ride my mountain bike . I'm more of a outdoors person, camping , hiking, paddle boarding, gardening and snowshoeing. Home projects. Most recently, I've started to play golf. Well, I chase a little white ball all around the course. Sometimes I actually hit straight down the fairway.LOL I enjoy simple things. Jeans and a t-shirt kind of guy. I can dress up too, just not as comfortable.
I come from a large family, four sisters and one brother and many nieces and nephews. Love animals, kids but I don't have any.

I was an Aerospace Engineer from 1992-2006 at Space Systems Loral in Palo Alto. I was lucky enough to buld satellites and launch them all over the world. I have 3 beautiful children, all grown up and 1 granddaughter born in March 2012.

I live in the Penn Valley/Grass Valley area after having lived most all of my adult life in the East Bay area. My most important accomplishment was learning to be whole and self-aware - not dependent on others for my self-worth, able to step back and observe the arising of emotions within me and discard those that are not appropriate to the moment (those that came from my "baggage"). This growth was forged from incredible emotional intensity (both bliss and crisis) but I am now happier and can be a good parent and relationship partner. What previously brought stress now is amusing and neediness and self-criticism no longer distort my perception of others or their behavior. I am looking for a positive relationship - one without dependence but where each partner adds something to the relationship – where we grow closer over time. Tolerance, acceptance, humor, affection and patient communication seem to me to be the keys to making that work - that's the theory at least, putting it to test will probably always be challenging. That is the heavy stuff. Beyond that I am a bit hard to classify. I can fix most anything and win at autocross, sail or fly, get raves for my cooking without resorting to recipes, find being around children more rewarding than almost any other activity, will write romantic poetry (although I make no claims that it is good), give good hugs and am creative and passionate in bed, laugh at myself or with others, am very physically demonstrative (more so than verbally). I like open or intimate spaces, enjoy music and intend to someday learn to play the fiddle (the sound of which I find wonderfully haunting), tend to watch educational programming or science fiction, am thrilled when I learn something new, generally think outside of the box and go my own way rather than follow the crowd and have absolutely no problem taking my paradigms and heaving them out the window when they don't work.
