(I did love all of the space & quiet of living in the country!) IРІР‚в„ўve lived in the East Bay for the last 11 years but I am not opposed to moving. IРІР‚в„ўve lived on the West Coast my entire life, living in California the majority of it, but also Oregon, Washington & one summer in Alaska. I love the rain. I love music & have been known to have a hoarse voice by the time I finished a long car trip because I sang along with the stereo at the top of my lungs the entire time. I enjoy being outdoors; I like seeing new things. I also love visiting the old favorites like a special un-named beach north of Bodega Bay and many places in the mountains. I am into lapidary arts & even have some of my own rock saws, grinders & polishers. I love opening up a rock & finding the beauty hidden inside. I enjoy hiking & collecting rocks. The love of photography runs in my family. Once I got my hands on digital cameras & didn't have to pay for film developing - well, letРІР‚в„ўs just say I can give an 8 MB card a good work out! As far as politics go, I lean more to the conservative side, but have never followed strict party lines. There are some things on each side I agree with.
The kids I would like don't necessarily have to be - technically - my own. I believe I would make an excellent step-mom or mom. I've been & worked around kids from a variety of backgrounds. I enjoy teaching them new things & seeing the excitement in their eyes as they make or learn something. I believe having a relationship with a child is one of the biggest & most important blessings a person can have. I grew up in the Girl Scouts & worked at their camps during high school & after. (A couple of those summers I lived in a tent for 2 months each summer.) I always had my "cling-on" campers everywhere I went. I still keep in contact with some of those campers today & keep up to date on their own little ones! In college I worked at a group home for troubled teen girls. I'm an Aunt to my Sister's kids & my friends' kids; it's a role I deeply cherish. Family is very important to me.
