So this is my story.
My friends would describe me as being dependable, articulate, genuine, creative, and respectful. I am serious about some things in life i.e.) finances, health, and career, but my family and friends are more precious to me. Just thinking about my niece and nephews brings smile to my face.
I smile a lot and sometimes I laugh so hard that my cheeks start to ache. I have the most unusual sense of humor and I can find humor in almost anything. Remarkably, I also smile and laugh when I feel nervous, or stressed out. Please don't ask me how. After an extensive self-analysis, I concluded that it must be one of my stress coping technique(?) which I named "smile" therapy.
I consider healthy eating and healthy life style to be very important. I would like to have a partner who shares the similar view.
Due to alcohol dehydrogenase deficiency, I do not drink often. With a nice steak dinner, I may order a glass of wine and have a sip or two because I really enjoy the flavor of wine with my meals, but that is it! Any more than that, I will definitely appear looking sick and will feel worse than I look. So naturally, I will let you finish up my glass of wine.
I enjoy a nice dinner or an evening out for concerts/shows, but you won't see me on the dance floor often. I like to blame it on my lack of coordination. Among a few land sports that do not require extensive coordination that I like are hiking, golfing, and skiing.
The best time to enjoy my favorite sports and hobby is when I travel- love to take artzy fartzy photographs. I like to take pictures while exploring new places which is why I love to travel so much. Traveling helps me to appreciate what I have, respect other cultures and even learn from them. My favorite domestic destination is Anchorage, Alaska. I've been there three times already, but each time, I discover something new and amazing. I've earned a nick name, "super hawk-eye" by my keen ability to spot wild animals. Once, I spotted a Momma Grizzly bear with two cubs at least 1 mile away! If you are with me, you won't go hungry that is if you know how to capture and cook the beast after I spot them.
I must say that my most proud accomplishment thus far has been my career. Working in health care field is stressful at times, but it is very rewarding knowing that I make a difference in people's lives everyday. However, I do not consider my career to be the center of my life. I don't bring work home and like to forget about the work stuff within 15 minutes of leaving work (well, okay in 30 minutes).
The funny thing is that even though I don't like being around a workaholic because it feels lonely and stressful, I find it attractive when a guy is ambitious and passionate about his worrk. It is a delicate balance, isn't it?
By the way, I was born and raised in Seoul. My family moved to Los Angeles where I graduated from high school and college. I relocated to San Francisco temporarily to finish up my education. Fast forward 15 years. Ta-da, I moved back to Santa Monica about a year ago. The weather couldn't be better and I really enjoy my morning walk to the beach. Believe it or not, I am in the best shape I've ever been in my life!
