Date a soulmate from California, United States. Thanks for stopping by to read about me. It has been an insightful and somewhat hilarious process trying to describe myself in print. These words come to mind: I am optimistic, physically fit, energetic, flexible, curious, responsible, creative, romantic, compassionate, funny, hard working, and a life long learner. Whew! Some think that I am attractive too. But that opinion will vary, I'm sure.
I have had a very challenging and rewarding career. In June of 2010, I retired from my CT job and moved to Davis, CA the first week in August. Within two weeks, I accepted a full time job with a local school district. Currently, I am working part time by choice so that I have time to build my new personal and social world here in CA. I bought a house this summer and am looking forward to setting down roots and contributing to a multi-generational community. I have had a wonderful journey raising two fantastic, now adult, children. Continuing to bond with my son and daughter and share life experiences with them rank high on my list of priorities. I believe that family ties, based on mutual respect and authenticity, provide an opportunity to create cross-generational supports, memorable moments, and a nurturing social community.
I feel confidant that my new locale near UC Davis will provide access to educational opportunities and cultural events. I like reading and taking classes on diverse topics, for pleasure and increased knowledge, to provide insights into the changing job market, to inspire me to contribute to humanitarian causes, to motivate me to eat well and exercise regularly, and to fuel my love of the performing arts.
I am looking forward to discovering, enjoying, and sharing my passions with a loving life partner. IРІР‚в„ўm looking for someone who is college educated, funny, socially conscious, affectionate, physically fit, and happy as an individual but committed to sharing his life with one special woman. Traveling together to experience other cultures and view the world's most beautiful natural sites is very appealing. But also, traveling inward is important to me to promote continued understanding of our unique qualities as individuals and the strengths and weaknesses that we bring to relationships.
I do miss my wonderful friends on the East coast, but I am slowly making new wonderful friends here.
Life is good! Best wishes to you in the future. Perhaps we will email, talk, and/or meet some day.
