I am considered fit, feminine, attractive, told look young for my age and a bit shy. I believe in discussing problems vs. yelling, putting shopping carts where they belong, listening to birds, allowing cars to merge in traffic, being on time and willing to try something new at least once. I am romantic in that I believe in courtship and falling in love, sensual, kind hearted and playful. I know how to behave in public AND in private. I could live in jeans but can clean up pretty good when needed.
Some things that won't work for me: if you have grown children they should be independently leading their own lives, tattoos, man ponytails, I won't want to ride your Harley, I am not going to run around in a bikini on the beach, inconsiderate behavior toward others less fortunate, daily drama, couch potatoes, I consider being late on a regular basis to be selfishly rude, racism, bigotry and atheism.
My children are all successful wtih both careers and family. Grandchildren makes the world go round and yet a hole remains. It's hard to put it into words what's missing as it seems life is perfect except that one personal and loving relationship. I want to hear the sweet music one can only hear in the heart. Someone to wake up with in the morning and share the morning paper over coffee. An intimate whisper in my ear when surrounded by a room full of people, a favorite place to have dinner. Someone with whom to share a home, family and friends . I am not looking for just a companion or I would buy a dog - I am looking for a life partner willing and able to work on a successful joining.
Outside activities are what I love most, gardening, stream fishing, hiking, biking, picnicing, sitting on the patio at the end of the day. I also enjoy dancing, entertaining and reading. Shopping seems to be a total waste of time but will do it when absolutely needed. I think it would be fun to explore our country from coast to coast via road trip. I haven't seen Niagara Falls or witnessed fall colors on the east coast. Camping in the Sierra's has been a favorite of mine since moving to Bakersfield a few years ago.
To tell the truth I haven't been anywhere that wasn't great, San Francisco (and surrounding area) is my favorite little "big" city, the central coast the perfect weekend getaway, a glass of red wine on the patio while you grill the burgers, oatmeal for breakfast ( bacon and pancakes are first choice but we can't have everything all the time !! ), sushi any time day or night, fresh veggies and easy listening music. Not much into television but have a few programs I enjoy, would rather break out the Scrabble or deck of cards for a game of gin or a good read A play in Manhattan is the ultimate, but local live theater will do just fine. Antique and thrift stores, hole in the wall diners vs chain restaurants, haven't joined the Starbucks craze, exploring side streets in small towns and holding hands.
I have been on and off this site for quite awhile and realize my match may not be found in my backyard. I am willing to travel to find the right "rest of my life" and hope you are serious as well. Although nice to have I don't need diamonds, expensive cars or homes at the beach ( been there - done that and have found if not with the right person it all loses the sparkle).
