Date women from United States / California / Chula Vista, 30 year old

Date a woman from United States. I consider myself to be an open-minded realist, loyal to those important to me, independent and driven, optimistic and quirky. I give the benefit of the doubt probably more than I should, and try to put myself in the other person's shoes before jumping to conclusions. I value this in a partner, too. I love being in love... and I'm ready to find that love again. I also love to laugh, so humor might be prerequisite #1. I do my best not to take myself too seriously. So I end up laughing at myself sometimes... a lot, actually.
I'm looking for someone I can share every aspect of life with and to be my best friend. I connect best with those who value the well-being of others and have a positive outlook for most situations... with a little (actually LOTS of) humor mixed in, of course. Men who are sincerely connected to their families and friends is hugely attractive, along with ambition, being kind-hearted and a gentleman when necessary.
The low-down: I was born and raised in Alaska, went to undergad in Georgia (my twang still slips back in way too easy sometimes) where I got a bachelors in Exercise Physiology and another in Psychology, then moved here to San Diego where I worked several years as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehabilitation, and finally, went to USD for my Master's degree in nursing a few years ago. It seems this is where I was always meant to be, and I'm ready to call San Diego home! To me there's nothing better than stepping out your front door and feeling like you're on vacation every day! It simply makes me smile.. no fail.
I now work as an RN in a Medical Intensive Care Unit, and around all the stress I can still honestly say I'm one of those people who loves their job. I adore my coworkers, thrive on the constant mental/emotional challenge, and value the difference I make in the lives of my patients and their families. On my days off, I enjoy meeting up with good friends for food/coffee/drinks, movies, outdoor fun, baseball games, shopping, sight-seeing, travel, and mini-adventures here and there. The people in my life are what is truly important, and I treasure every minute I can spend with them. My friends often laugh at me for my love of "guy movies" (action, scary, sci-fi, etc) and how I despise chick-flicks, how much I love to eat and take "food-adventures", along with my random little OCD tendencies... which I make fun of myself about, too. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in an episode of Seinfeld. What can I say... it makes life interesting, that's for sure. :)
