Date men and women from California, United States. I'm a hard-working, family guy. I enjoy finding ways to live a better life, and helping those I care about do the same. I don't take myself too seriously, despite the impression I sometimes give others that I am a serious person. I enjoy a good laugh at the absurdities of life. I have a small core of close friends who I've known for many years. Most are getting on with their own families or have moved away which is part of the reason I've turned to Match. While going through pics for something to upload here, I found I was wearing sun glasses in most of them. I guess that says I like to be outdoors! My job as a designer keeps me at a desk most of the time so when I'm not working, I like to be outside.

I prefer chefs and staff to foodies, what people have to say to what they do, and while ideals are ok, I like ideas better. I like activity, but am not into the gym. I love my neighborhood and it is my home, but as a whole, I think I prefer the East Bay and Oakland. People are more liberal - and I mean lifestyle, not politics, more unique, smarter, more creative, and more real out there They're definitely more fun...more interesting. Lol. They have better manners, not so self-absorbed...(unless you're in Berkeley.)
But SF still gives me a buzz I can't get anywhere else. Granted, I need to travel more. Lol. Because I haven't done much, I'll go about anywhere. A cheesy cruise or trip to the Antarctic...waddaya got?
One of my favorite things to do on a weekend is go up to my neighborhood, grab my coffee, sit and people watch, chat, talking about whatever comes up and going where it goes, and then grabbing my coffee and walking towards the sun, (which is toward the beach.) And just go where the day takes. When it comes to love…
It’s chemistry, connection, and compatibility for me. It’s not necessarily in words, but what’s understood by a look, a touch, or a presence. It can be the brush of a hand that sets your guts on fire. Or it can be a solid, mutual respect and understanding that makes you say, "I want to walk through the world and this life with this person." Maybe my One is like me, maybe opposite. It doesn't matter to me. I keep an opened mind because I never know what life is going to bring, it's wiser than I am, and I love that. And if love comes knocking…

It’s funny trying to write a profile that best describes who you are and what you are all about.
Well first I am here to meet someone that I can start a friendship with and see where it goes from there. Companionship, why? Because who really wants to be alone?
I enjoy reading, listening to music, taking a walk, playing golf and shooting pool. I enjoy cooking but it can get boring cooking for one. I would enjoy having someone to cook with, bump into them in the kitchen sneak a kiss.
As I said it’s funny trying to write a profile that will appeal to everyone’s eyes. I am honest, to the point, speak my mind and can be very opinionated. I can argue with the best of them but I will admit when I am wrong. Deep down I am kind, caring and honest person and respect other’s wishes. Integrity and honesty mean a lot to me and hope that you have plenty of both. There is a lot more to me then what you are reading just reach out and ask.

On the weekends, or at least a couple of times a month I play golf with friends, workout 2 to 3 times a week, run, bike, racquetball and tennis. When I'm not out and about, I enjoy having people over for dinner/BBQ but also enjoy some downtime at home watching a movie.

Date a soulmate from United States. I think I've finally started being confused with a grown-up. That's a good thing! It's also how I enjoy the women I get involved with. You shouldn't be confused with grown-ups 100% of the time, because I'm not. But once in a while, it's a good thing to have happen. As a hobby/avocation, I study Martial Arts and have 2 Black Belts thus far. It is an honor to continue my studies, and I suspect I always will study some form of Martial Art. Admittedly, it took a little longer than I thought it might, but I really did 'find' myself. Turns out, he's a pretty cool person, and I'd want him as a friend. You might, too. I believe in travel. People that have never been abroad are really missing out. I spent a year living in Switzerland and France. Ask me about that time. I'll tell you an amazing story or two. My work overseas provided a great opportunity to see and experience things that just don't exist here at home. It's definitely 'America the Beautiful' to me....but the rest of the world offers a lot of 'cute,' too. I'll keep going back to Europe because the charm of the old mixed with the pace of the new just can't be described in words.
