I have been living in Santa Cruz for the past couple of years and just working at a university as a teacher's assistant. I am an optimsitic, driven person and do enjoy teaching. Before that I have worked in politics and would describe myself as a liberal, progressive person. I am currently working on a PhD in political science. Well, I hope to work in academia in the future.
I would say I have a good sense of humor, am honest, ambitious and kind. I would consider myself as a straight forward person. I am pretty family orientated and come from a very supportive family.
I am a movie buff and know a lot of movie trivia, and even screen Hollywood movies to the political science classes I teach. they student love it it doesn't require any work from me, lol.

Meet men and women from California, United States. Ohhhh boy where to start. First off, I hate writing about myself so we'll just see how this goes. Haven't been on Match for all that long, but I'll say I haven't had much luck finding quality on here. Yep, I'm being picky but that's just how it's supposed to be considering what I'm after.
I consider myself to be a nice guy like 87.5% of the time. I'm giving, patient, honest, considerate, genuine a very passionate lover and pretty darned set in my ways. I'll always hold the door open for a lady because that's how it should be. The other 12.5% I can be opinionated and stubborn, extremely sarcastic, crude, button pushing, trouble making, endearingly argumentative, and playfully manipulative. I enjoy playing with sarcasm like matches.

My interests.. I originally moved to San Diego but came up to LA a few years ago for graduate school and took a job with a firm downtown after school. I distinctly remember saying "I'll never live in LA" so I guess I learned never to say never right? Although I miss the laid-back lifestyle of SD I've come to enjoy LA more and more and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I graduated college in 2005 and received a commission in the Navy. Life has been great to this point and love my career choice. I recently moved to Monterey for school and have enjoyed the area.
