I go into any first date with no expectations, but I'm not here to waste my time or anyone else's time. A few things I know I'm NOT looking for are: smokers (biggest turn off), women with no tact, or women in their 50s who have four kids and live 2500 miles away...(I can't believe some of the e-mails I get on here). If I were to meet the right woman tomorrow, I might be engaged six months from now. On the other hand, if I don't meet her for five more years, c'est la vie! Am I being irresponsible with my life, not searching desparately for "the one?" Maybe. Unless those social norms are antagonistic to the basic unit of society, the family. I question expectations that young men (and women) deal with and made slaves to. Since I care about animal suffering, I have become a vegetarian. A few of animal charities I support are PETA, animalsasia.org, WSPA and few others. I seriously looked into animal charities after I have read an internet story about bile bears where bears live their whole life in small cages in torture and pain. These bears are farmed for their bile. These bears do even want to live so they commit suicide by tearing apart their abdomens. To prevent bears from killing themselves, they are forced to wear metal braces. Enough about this but please donate money to support the end bile bear farming.
