Meet a soulmate from La Jolla, United States. Hi: I am a fun loving out-of-the-box kind of scientist. My mantra: life is too short to - eat cheap food, drink bad beer etc. I love to travel and explore other cultures and people. I am a bit of an intellectual, so chats about NYT topics and the arts etc. will be very much appreciated. On the other hand, I do like things simple and down to earth. Ah, about music: Latin, Jazz, Rock, Classic, Modern - no Country, please. I do love to dance :) .
First dates can be easy. Meet for lunch or dinner: Your choice of restaurant, my treat. Preferred areas for lunch - North San Diego, Del Mar, North County.
P.S. I have been separated for 2 years, the divorce is close to being final.
Date someone special from La Jolla, United States. Not a whole lot to say here just an average guy trying to find the right mate. Nothing much to say until we make an initial connection. I do like to travel and am interested in politics and current events. I also ply a number of sports and a fairly outdoorsy.
Meet single man from La Jolla, United States. An online dating site, really?!? I never imagined I would be inputting my bio into one, but here goes nothing (I can be a bit sarcastic, mostly for the comedy)
I am an smart, optimistic entrepreneur who is outgoing in constantly seeking new, challenging things in life. Open and honest with a quick laugh, I enjoy nothing better than engaging in witty repartee with friends and family over a gourmet/ethnic dinner—paired with the perfect wine or craft/regional beer of course—which I cook or at some interesting restaurant.
I enjoy discussing global politics, people and relationships, movies, science, fine art and the arts, world history, plants, all types of music, the environment, the economy, cooking, ancient cultures, and the meaning of life (no, not the movie although Monty Python ranks up there with Will Ferrell for funniest all time for me). I like to wear shorts and sandals for a day out and about, but enjoy dressing in black tie for the Opera.
And I am all about interesting factoids, like Oktoberfest is in September and there is no river in Rio de Janeiro, and funny stories that I learn along the way as I always seem to find the comedy in life (even if the joke is on me!). I am young at heart, and I think this approach to life—along with a lot of yoga and running—keeps me that way.
I love sushi, watching the big game with family and friends, fruit smoothies (every morning for breakfast), going to sleep listening to the ocean, stinky French cheeses, driving in the eastern Sierras, people comfortable in their own skin, olives, playing basketball with 20 somethings to prove I can hang, Texas barbeque, finding $20 in an old pair of pants, white and green teas, viewing things from up high, serving fennel and listening as people try to figure out what it is, swimming in the ocean (when its warm), a well made hamburger with real French fries, vasisthasana, making authentic New Orleans gumbo, finding an interesting wine from a new place, ordering from the tasting menu, sunsets over the Pacific, creating gourmet pizzas from scratch, dancing to club/classic tunes to exhaustion, arugula, and meeting people who know things that I don’t all while living the SoCal lifestyle.
I would love to meet a bright, interesting woman who has her own goals and ambitions, likes to laugh (a lot), and have conversations that are both stimulating and entertaining. Someone with passion and compassion whose core is such that when we are together we both want to be better people as equals; someone who likes to lead or follow as the situation dictates; someone who is caring and wants to be cared for; someone who wants to share her hopes and dreams (and fears) with me as our lives unfold together; and a person who is not afraid to try new adventures in and around Southern California, the U.S., and the world!
So let the banter begin! Who knows we might find a business connection, a friend, someone who makes us laugh until we hurt (I have a few friends like that), or maybe, just maybe, a life partner.
Time to start a new adventure! What do we have to lose (except the angst of what might have been)?
