My career keeps me in decent shape and I do work outside 8-10 hours a day-so coming home after a 100 degree day the last thing on my list is heading right back out in the heat to exercise even more! Except maybe go swimming. Outdooor activities for me work better on cooler evenings and weekends. My ideal match would be someone who knows herself and what makes her happy. She should be Independent and have her own life too. She should be affectionate and a goofball. I have a five year old daughter that it the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me. She is amazing and every day she teaches me what unconditional love is, what it means to be fascinated by the everyday and how easy it is to make friends and be happy. Those are lessons that I need to be reminded of and I am so grateful that she is in my life. I have her nearly 50% of the time so you have to like kids, maybe you love them but don't have one, maybe you have one and maybe you want one, any of those scenarios is fine with me.
I was married for 8 years, although we got married really young and the problem with that is people do not know how to treat each other when they are young. It takes time and role models and making mistakes before one knows that you have to make your partner your priority and you need to think about what you can do to increase their happiness, I think when you're young you tend to think about what you can do to make life better for yourself...
I just want that person who you cannot wait to call with the good news and the bad, the woman who you are excited to introduce to your friends and family, that person who you know always will stand beside you come what may and who you will do the same for. I've been in love before and had my heart broken and broken a few but I do not want that anymore. I want a partner, someone who isn't afraid to grow or to allow you to go in whatever direction you need to. Someone who enjoys going out with her girlfriends and isn't afraid to let me play cards with the boys but is still the person I would rather be with above all others.
The thing is I have dated a fair amount, what i want is that feeling when you know you really like this person and you're pretty sure that they really like you and you can see some amazing potential in this thing. You start to imagine what it would be like to see her everyday and what it would be like to start to weave your lives together. What I want is for things to be equal, that is she likes me just as much as I care about her, lately either I'm more into her than she is me or she likes me way more than I do her, I think that just means that it's not been right for one of us and therefore us.

Hey, how's it going? I'm a shy guy that's been missing out on part of life for some years now. I've taken time out just to make a better life for myself and my son. Things have been turning around and I'm out looking to get into finding someone I can spend my time with. To be fair while you, I'm not home a lot. I'm an Engineer on the oil rigs, I sit behind computers most of my shifts. This can be a huge hindrance, that I can understand but it's what I do to pay my bills and keep food on the plate.
