I am an adventurous guy, who loves to travel and really engross myself in the culture I am visiting. I have already done so quite a bit like to be out of the US several months a year. While I have seen much of the world, I am already planning to see the South Pacific, New Zealand, Tahiti more. When I’m travelling (and even when I’m home) I like to stay active; biking the countryside, hiking mountains, or scuba diving in the ocean, it’s all a part of the experience. When I’m home I also practice yoga to stay relaxed healthy.
Music creates the soundtrack to my life. I have a collection of over 15,000 records ranging from rock to classical to reggae. I listen to them every day, but I also love to go out enjoy life music with friends. My friends family are very important to me. I have a natural curiosity about people’s lives how they became who they are, which makes me a good listener a loyal friend.
I am a self-proclaimed foodie who loves sushi. I love to try new foods and it would be great to meet someone who could introduce me to a few. I am recovering from knee scoping. I will soon get an artificial right knee. Despite this I exercise three times a week. I recently had a nuclear/chemical heart stress test. Despite being over weight, the results were normal - no heart disease.

I lost my wife to breast cancer in 2002. We were married for over 30 years and I will always miss her. It was very difficult to move on but since that time, I have tried to live my life to the fullest. I’m a veteran. I served in the naval air as a flight crew member in the 60s. After my military service, I came to Southern California from the Bay area and I returned to school and graduate work at UCLA and UCR.

Generally, it’s �early to bed and early to rise' for me. As they say, 'early bird gets the worm'. My passion is surfing and I try to surf almost every day. The surf is usually the best before the wind comes up and it's definitely less crowded very early in the morning- “O Dawn Hundred”. I also enjoy walks with my dogs on the beach and at Fiesta Island.
Since I'm not teaching full time, I’m very fortunate to be able to travel in Baja, camp, surf and enjoy a very tranquil time much of the year. I’m a good companion 'on' and 'off' the road. I hope you interested in a new �friend’, �partner’ and a new �relationship’-my fingers are crossed.
