I spent my birthday weekend in Napa and Japantown, the former with a friend and the latter with my two daughters, one grown, one escaping teen-hood. I like movies, theater, open air markets, antiquing (seriously, one look at my house will tell you Im not trying to display a sensitive side for this profile. You like the arts in some fashion, as a participant or a patron. Youre happy with where you are overall, but still have some ambition to grow and learn. You dont mind having your door opened for you and your meal paid for or at the very least decline the offer without believing the offer on my part was an attempt to control you (Im learning a lot from Match).
You enjoy actual communication and look forward to telling me about your day. Again, not just for profile reasons, I like to listen and learn. And believe me, its often not WHAT youre talking about, but how excited and interested you are in it. Im 47 but I have a lot to learn and I am looking for someone who isnt afraid to give their opinion, expertise, viewpoint, etc.

I moved to California partly because of the appeal of the many places to go camping and enjoy the great outdoors. After a short trip to Bohemian Grove and the Ocean my interest in this is renewed. We are fortunate to live in this land of plenty where we can get away to the mountains or the coast and lose ourselves in nature. I find that it is good for the soul.
I enjoy theatre but most live music is too loud for me. I recently joined a health club and have been going regularly. I won't say how often because this is a new venture and I don't want to jinx myself by putting my expectations out there. My expectation is to go regularly and gradually, consistently work on getting in better and better shape.
Some people I admire are: Johnny Carson, George Carlin, Edward Abbey, John Muir, Rachel Carson, Hunter Thompson and Lois Gibbs. I grew up listening to the rock and roll of the 1980s and still like that music. I also love classical music as in Capital public radio 88.9.
I love to travel. It's been a long time since I went to Europe although I am going back this year. Most of my trips are to visit family. When in Mexico I notice that my Spanish improves. Last time I was there for a week. If I stayed a couple of months I could probably speak it reasonably well. I love the sound of it.
It's about time I get a new bike and go out on some rides. If you enjoy bike riding that is a plus.
Well I've gotten into some detail here, all good. The main thing is that I've known women who are like what I am describing. I'd like to meet another one and see what happens.

I’m happy, friendly, intense, and a can be a bit of a goof…I’m not afraid to laugh at my own expense...my kids do it every day. Most people would say I’m a lot of fun.
