I know that sounds a bit corny, but forgive me, I've been watching Romantic Comedies on Netflix. I promise it's not too often....usually I'm outside.

. I'm fun and don't like to wait for things to happen. I enjoy new things and want to learn. I enjoy reading, movies, walking, hiking, gardening, and mostly cooking.
I'm enjoying this time in my life. I can go places and explore new things that I didn't have time for when I was raising my girls. I would not trade any part of who I am or where I have been, because those things made me who I am. I love my friends and family. My job is hectic during this time of year, but I love to run away for a bit............. Hopefully I can find someone to spend time with. I have Two amazing kids, both girls, both grown, they are my joy. I have a dog who adores me, and she is fun too. My life is good, but I would like to have someone to share it with.
. Well, for starters, the most important thing that has made me who I am today is being a mom. I think it is one of my greatest accomplishments. I have two adult children who are college students and live on their own, but they will always be the joys of my life! As for my career, I am proud of that, too, but on a completely different level. I am in the drug and alcohol prevention field, and I absolutely love what I do. Drug & alcohol abuse is rampant now -- it destroys lives daily -- so it is very fulfilling when I get to see prevention put a halt to drug use AND abuse. I am also a freelance writer and a college graduate. I love animals (dogs mostly), being in the outdoors, dancing (I want to learn Salsa!), bicycle riding, boating, picnicing, musicconcerts (classic rock, blues), baseball, star gazing, walking through the park, the beach, movies, reading, writing, exercising...too many other things to name. And, I love trying new things, as long as they are with someone I'm comfortable with and enjoy.
I can't tell you EXACTLY who I am looking for as a mate, because I don't really know yet, but I know he will be the man whose eyes light up when I walk into the room. He will be the one who wants to hold me during a thunderstorm; the person who covers me back up when I have kicked my blankets off in my sleep. And he will be the man who lovingly gives me the very last bite of his favorite food, simply because he knows I love it, too. He will be the person who says endearing words to me and doesn't care if others hear. And he lets me do all these same things for him as well.
