I'm a former teacher and coach that converted over to a technical profession. I really miss coaching (basketball). We went to the state tourney my first year there (first time in over 12 years for the school), but I left at the end of the year. Unfortunately the school administration where I was just really bled me dry. I'd love to go back into at some point, but working in the IT field now, it's really hard to go back to the teacher salary. Someday, people will realize that teachers should make as much if not more than others.
I'm a big geek at heart. Typical love of scifi, computers and games (board, console, and pc types). I have an infatuation with lego stuff and have more than any person should. My nieces and nephew's love seeing me cause i always have cool toys for them, and generally like to have fun with them, though they still can't beat me on a nintendo game! lol
For my non geek side, i love sports (former high school basketball coach), love going out on the town, eating out, going to movies, putt putt golf, heck, i just like having fun. Give me a night of karaoke or Rock Band and i'm a happy camper! I'm a glass half full kinda guy, and try to make anything i do a fun event. I love to travel, and the largest majority of my friends live in Southern California and Texas, so i try to get out there a few times a year. Last summer i rode a roller coaster for the first time ever on my first trip to Disneyland and loved it(and now hooked on them)! I also work with a group that does a lot of charity work for different children organizations.

Date a man from Arkansas, United States. I just moved back to the Hot Springs area after about 20 years of living other places around the country. I enjoy most outdoor activities that are seasonally appropriate. Most of my free time is spent preparing for the next big adventure, whatever that may be - camping trip, pilot's license, SCUBA certification or taking care of the yard/house for a BBQ on the weekend. I have a 4wd Jeep that gets me just about anywhere you can imagine and a motorcycle for a fun weekend on the Arkansas back roads. I try to exercise 4-5 times a week, varying between jogging, resistance training, and martial arts.
I recently completed my Master's of Operations Management and started working for the state again (I worked for the UofA - Fayetteville for almost 11 years) as an IT specialist. Yes, I can be a bit of a computer geek at times, but anytime I can get away from the computer, I am grateful. I do enjoy indoor time, playing board/tabletop/strategy games as well as the occasional computer game or watching a movie. I have been known to enjoy a glass of scotch, a dry red or a nice micro-brew on occasion, but I'm no expert. My drink of choice after 4 years of living in Arizona is water.
I can't say I know what I'm looking for because to do that would remove opportunities to experience something new or different or unusual and that bothers me probably more than anything.
