I have moved to the Cabot/Jacksonville/NLR area because I was transferred to the AFB. I have been in the Air Force in one form or another for 13 years. I guess that's the basics in a nutshell. Here are some more pertinent facts about me:
I am a musician, and I play guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. I also used to own a recording studio and am a self-taught recording engineer. So, music is very important to me. I like everything except for polka, opera, showtunes and modern country. If you put my iPod on shuffle you're going to get everything from Mozart to Miles Davis to Johnny Cash to Queens of The Stone Age and everything in between.
For sporting/outdoor type hobbies, I run and bicycle (hoping to enter a biathalon in a few years). I also golf, but I am terrible at it. I enjoy watching football and baseball, and I like NASCAR and SCCA racing. I like shooting guns on occasion. I don't hunt or fish. I also enjoy geocaching, if you know what that is.
I guess I am a nerd, I like going to museums and reading history/nonfiction books. I like space stuff like NASA. I work in aviation, so I really dig anything to do with that.
As for the other stuff, I like the average things like tv/movies, video games, and dining out. I also enjoy home remodelling type stuff, as long as I don't have to do any plumbing. I am a failrly handy guy.
Things you should know about me: I love to laugh. I find humor everywhere. I am good at imitating people. I enjoy the weird and the absurd. The more off-kilter something is, the more I will probably like it.
I find it hard to put into words who or what type of lady I am looking for. By narrowing my criteria too far, I may miss out on something really good happening. I DO, however, have some things that I want/need out of a partner.
I need a partner who can communicate openly. I am a communicator, both verbally and nonverbally. I wear my emotions on my sleeve, being open is just part of who I am. I need my prospective partner to be able to communicate with me openly.
I want someone who is witty, smart and a good conversationalist. I want someone who will be my equal partner, someone that wants to share their life with me, as I will with her.
