I was born in northern CA, raised in the White Mountains of AZ, and have lived in numerous places around the country. I served 12 years in the US Coast Guard, 15 as a pastor, and taught high school English in Casa Grande AZ for 3 yrs before a home construction accident put me out of business for a while. I ended up retiring on 2/3 disability. I get along well, just have to be careful.
I was a pastor for many years until my divorce 10 years ago. I had some bad experiences through that time and have some scars because of them. I still have faith in God but am not active in a church at this time. I really don't know what "Spiritual but not Religious" is, unless it means that a person has faith but is not active in institutional religion. I guess that is me right now.
I have been married twice- once for 28 years and once for 10 months. Both have stories, of course. In the first case, we found we were not in love with each other, and in the second, we found we were much better friends than lovers. Both divorces were amicable and I have good relationships with both.
