(I say safe as in no sky diving or scuba diving or climbing cliffs – nope, I do not see me doing those things – would love to hear your adventure though.) I have to tell you, if there is a song on the radio I like, I sing along.
I care a lot about living a good, healthy life. My days are spent helping women live a quality life with exercise, diet and behavior modification (feeling great about themselves). I want to live an active, healthy life into my 90’s – how about you?
I also enjoy sampling the finer things in life like walking into a 5 star resort, sitting in the lobby and ordering a drink, and enjoy the surroundings. Or going to happy hour at a place with a great view to talk and order snacks and listen to the music - or even get up and dance ( I have learned some new ZUMBA moves). Or a nice Sunday brunch with champagne and orange juice. Where are some of your favorite spots? Total over the top romantic evenings are awesome and if you can cook, that is even better. But just as good, are the lazy days just hanging out and doing nothing in particular.
So, what kind of guy will make a good match? Someone who is genuinely a nice person…knows how to be strong and thoughtful…who has joy in his life and is looking for someone to share that joy….can talk and listen…someone who loves the outdoors, kids, animals, family and takes good care of himself. And of course, a sense of adventure for life.

What my friends say: My friends would say I am creative, intelligent, down to earth, very active, sometimes funny, and not quite mainstream. I am also direct – sometimes to a fault – and honest, and appreciate that in others. I can be kind of brainy and nerdy, but also silly and a goof; at times I relate better to my 3 yr old grandson than to most adults.
What I do: As a visual artist, I have a life that is at times very busy, and sometimes a bit reclusive; no matter what, I always make time for family and friends. I work part time in the arts,and really enjoy the work I do. My artwork is alternative photography, mixed media, and eclectic. I own a home, am financially stable, and like to live simply.
For fun and more: I am young at heart, and very active: I love to travel, have lived in England and France, and have a good sense of adventure. My 60th birthday celebration included 4 awesome days hiking the Grand Canyon and I’d like to meet a man with whom I can build a good friendship while hiking the mountains, or walking in Sabino, strolling on beaches, and investigating new places. As much as I am very much an outdoors person, I also love to read, explore culture – music and dancing, are good - , and have quality quiet times. Cooking with and for others, a good movie, glass (or two) of wine, and intelligent, thoughtful conversation are a few ways I like to relax. I am curious about the world and want to keep learning about new things, so I hardly watch television except for the occasional junk tv at the end of long day, and pbs news.
About values: People matter more than capital gains; compassion is a necessity in our crazy world. I almost always cheer on the underdog...the exception is Wildcat Basketball :) I try to keep my eco footprint to a minimum, but I'm not obsessive about this. I think manners and etiquette are important,and that we need to give at least as much as we take. I think little bitty kids have a lot of the answers.
What matters: Family and friends are important to me. I am a 'people person' , but also a private person. Compassion, kindness and open mindedness are also important. I have a full and interesting life that I would love to share with a good person who is non judgmental, and willing and able to be considerate and open.I am under impressed with fragile or inflated egos and swagger, and definitely not interested in drama. My idea of a good first date is one where we both end up knowing somethings about the other person. I would just like to meet a good, intelligent guy who is more alternative than conventional, likes to smile more than frown, who takes good care of himself and wants to share fun, laughs, adventures, good conversation and quiet times with a slightly eccentric, high quality lady.
